Martian Rocks
Among the rocks studied by Mars Pathfinder were many conglomerates. This image shows suspicious pits and holes in a small rock found by the Mars Pathfinder's Rover, which are characteristic of eroded conglomerates.
On Earth, conglomerates are sedimentary rocks, formed under conditions of turbulent water. Other conglomerates found at the landing site include the Shark and Half Dome.
